Disculpe profe, una duda, there was tiene una traducción también de “tener”? Por ejemplo en una oración que leí hace poco “there was no use denying”… (“No tenía sentido”…) O está mal mi traducción?

“There was” y “there were” podrían ser para situaciones breves en pasado. “There used to be” es algo más largo. Pero sí, los dos se traducen por “había”.
