Hace tiempo, escribí un poco sobre el método del inglés en mil palabras. La idea es que solo hace falta aprender las 1000 palabras más usadas del inglés y ya sabrás comunicarte.
Es una bonita teoría.
Pero ¿se puede aprender el inglés con solo memorizar mil palabras?
La verdad es algo más complicado.
Aquí tengo la lista de las 1000 palabras más comunes del inglés, en orden alfabético.
En todo caso, supongo que también necesitarás saber un poco de gramática para ponerlos en los sitios adecuados de las frases.
Y tendrás que saber pronunciarlas.
Esta es la clave, al final. Memorizar vocabulario es muy importante (y en mi otra página tengo un método para memorizar mucho vocabulario.)
Pero sin gramática y una pronunciación comprensible, no vas a hacer mucho. Y tampoco si pasas tu tiempo leyendo sin escuchar nunca el inglés hablada.

Lo cierto es que sí, hay palabras más frecuentes de otras. La mitad del inglés son estas 100 palabras, por ejemplo.
Pero si te das cuenta, no vas a construir muchas frases inteligentes si solo tienes artículos, preposiciones y verbos auxiliares.
En todo caso, con algo hay que empezar. Así te presento las famosas 1000 palabras…
