Hace tiempo escribí un artículo sobre las palabras for, since y ago en inglés, y cómo usarlas.
Luego una estudiante en mis clases particulares quería practicar, y así hice unos ejercicios… hice 50 frases de ejemplo, concretamente.

El tema es que se usan con presente perfecto o pasado simple, que es un tema que también explico en otro artículo. Aquí la versión breve…
Se usa for con un periodo de tiempo.
for 5 years = durante 5 años
Since con un momento en el pasado.
since 2015 = desde 2015
Y ago después de un periodo de tiempo, normalmente con pasado simple.
5 years ago = hace 5 años
